The Brazilian youngster has been in and out of action this season and at times he has struggled to get on the scoresheet.
Pato admits that it's harder than usual trying to break into the first team given the vast number of great players at the club, but he is delighted to be playing for the Rossoneri nevertheless.
"I am happy to be at Milan, I do what I want which is playing football and I am in a great family here with so many great players," Pato told Sky Sport Italia.
"Everyone knows there are many good players here and I need to give my best in training in order to get a starting place.
"I love everything about Italian football and I am tranquil at Milan because I have so many stars around me.
"I'm still young and I have time to improve."
Il Diavolo welcome relegation strugglers Chievo Verona to the San Siro on Sunday afternoon.
The Rossoneri are just one point behind bitter city rivals Inter in Serie A.
Pato may start alongside compatriots Ronaldinho and Kaka this weekend.
